Creative Visual Merchandiser, Stage and Event Designer, servicing the Adelaide area.
Bio
Shannon began her 'arts career' as a dancer at age 6. By her teens though the dark allure of the backstage world had drawn her in. Studies were begun at the Centre for the Performing Arts in Adelaide, transferred to the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts with final secondment done at Vitalstatistix back in Adelaide. A 3 year Advanced Diploma in Performance Design took 5 years but why not make the study timeline flexible when there are opportunities to travel to the US and Europe (including participating in the Prague Quadrinale). Her freelance stage design career began in Perth with Handzon Theatre's production of 'Breast Stroke' and continued back in Adelaide with the likes of Half A Star Productions, Spotlight Theatre Co. and the Recycled Theatre Company.
After 10 years of working in Retail, Shannon has formally conbined this expertise with her artistic skills and gained her Diploma in Visual Merchandising and has already completed projects for Harris Scarfe's, House & Garden, Norwood and Cookie Man, Adelaide Arcade.
